Designer/ Principal

I began my career as an assistant draft person for an architectural studio in Spain where my interest of Art, Architecture, and Design grew. Having lived in Spain for 5 years allowed me to appreciate my surroundings.

Later I moved to the United States where I studied Interior Design while working for several architectural firms specializing in residential design and churches. I graduated in 1998 with high honors, and was able to land a position with a local firm.

In 1998 I acquired the Project Management position for a furniture dealership where some of my responsibilities were laying out office spaces, specifying their furniture and project managing installations. In some instances, I had the opportunity to collaborate with Architects to create appealing spaces for  the end user and the responsibility of documenting design projects I worked on.

While working for  this firm I collaborated on Healthcare projects such as the Maternity Ward at Clovis Community, New Bethany Convent and Alzheimer’s Facility in Los Banos, Fresno Community Hospital, Fresno County IHSS and Heritage Center to name a few.

I also created spaces on my own; one of those spaces is Pridestaff. Their management wanted to create an environment that was inviting while subtly communicating the sophisticated methods and level of professionalism they engaged in to secure top level employees for their clients. My team provided them with products and design that made work spaces which were both beautiful and highly functional as well as easily modified to suit changing dynamics.

After 15 years of  working on multiple projects both large and small I decided to venture out and open my own design firm: CV Design Interiors, Inc.

I believe I have a unique ability to hear what the client is asking for and to visualize their long-term goals. This skill has proved invaluable when developing projects for clients such as Cannery Row Company  or Advanced Eyecare Associates because they needed to have a space that could transmit their culture. It is important to make these type of assessments early in the process to assure that each client's unique situations are met effectively within budget and delivered on schedule according to their expectations.
